About Us
The Franchise Counselor was founded in 2018 with the goal of helping people achieve their dreams through business ownership or growing their existing businesses through franchising.
The team at the Franchise Counselor is made up of seasoned executives who’ve worked successfully as corporate-executives and entrepreneurs in both independent and franchise businesses.
Kevin Baron
Founder, President and Lead Consultant
Kevin started his career with a very traditional career-path, but always wanted to be a business owner. He left corporate-America in 2006 and has never looked back.
Since leaving corporate-America, Kevin has been an independent business owner, a franchise business owner, founded and owned a franchisor, and served a the Vice President of Franchise Development for an international franchisor. During his time in corporate-America, he worked in finance, marketing, and customer service. When he left Sprint in 2006 to start his own business, he led a team of over 1,000 employees.
Kevin’s academic background includes a finance degree from the University of Florida and an MBA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He currently resides in Satellite Beach, Florida with his wife, daughter, and his dog Waffles. He loves fitness, the beach, theme parks, and spending time with his family.
Dan Bradford
Operations and Client Relations
Dan has a very diverse background including Retail Management, Software Sales, Executive management, VP of Franchise Development, and VP of Franchise Business Development and a Franchise Owner.
He has done consulting work at all levels of Franchising for Franchisors, Franchisees, Venture Capital Franchise investment, and Franchise Ownership. And now Franchise development, including Marketing and Customer Relations.
Semi-Retired, he lives in Washington DC with his dog Cassie. He’s visited 19 countries and lived abroad. He enjoys fishing, cycling, and is a huge Jacksonville Jaguars Fan!
Peter Berg
Business Development
Peter has over 50 years experience as a business-owner and senior-level business development executive. He is often clients’ first point of contact at the Franchise Counselor and has a wealth of knowledge about business.
Peter has worked in the insurance, building, and the home services industries.
He is married with two kids and two grand-kids. He is semi-retired and lives in Florida and is an avid Florida Gator fan!
